What sets us apart

We are a school where students have the opportunity to participate in regular student conferences with ideas for school life. The college works closely with each other. Joint planning and agreements on the design and implementation of lessons take place. A lot of parent talks are held and school aid conferences are convened in order to pull together with the parents with regard to the support of the children. In the Schuhaus itself, everyone involved in school life greets one another and great importance is attached to appreciative interaction. There has been a social training room for 8 years, which children must visit if they have broken the two rules in force. (We solve conflicts with words! We behave in such a way that everyone can work undisturbed). As an active school, we pay attention to the clear structure of the block lessons in phases, including breaks in movement. Many celebrations are firmly anchored in the school year plan...

school program

The school conference approved the school program on May 15, 2012. The completeSchool program can be found here. The focus is on the following four development priorities (from aspects a. to h.) in 2.1 of the circular "School program work in the state of Brandenburg":

  1. Focus on social learning: class council in all classes as part of the focus lesson
  2. Measures for individual support in lessons and schools, taking into account the targeted use of digital media (implementation of the media development plan)
  3. Cooperation with students and their legal guardians with regard to shared responsibility for education and upbringing
  4. Revision of the school program including the all-day concept and the inclusion concept

Those:Entry of the school from November 29th, 2022 (ZENSOS school accounting)

The basic pedagogical orientations of the school are:

For the lesson:

Inclusive teaching requires a differentiated range of teaching that is appropriate to the target group, motivating and conducive to learning. The aim is to do justice to all children so that they can learn with joy and self-confidence. The use of the newly purchased technology (digital pact) in the classroom is intended to promote the media skills of the students under the guidance of the teachers.

For school life:

We actively shape our school life through our numerous working groups and our regular festivals and celebrations. Through clear and regular communication between the school management and the parents, everyone should feel informed, involved and invited to get involved. The cooperation with the association is very important. After almost all school celebrations had to be canceled for two years, one focus this school year is on organizing events through which the school community can experience each other as a whole (e.g. Christmas market, mathematics competitions, reading competitions, children's festival , World Book Day).

For cooperation and participation:

Due to the increasing number of students, we are working on expanding and continuing to expand the range of activities with newly acquired honorary staff and cooperation partners (Immanuel-Kant-Schule/Lesepaten, Lise-Meitner-Gymnasium/Französisch-AG, TSV-Falkensee/AG wrestling and gymnastics). The involvement of external partners in the implementation of project days on the subject of prevention and media education has been part of school life for years.

For school management:

School management is responsible for the well-being of students/employees, the implementation of legal requirements and the management of the organization of all school processes. Through regular performance and development talks and job shadowing, the school management gives the employees the opportunity to reflect on their own work, to recognize development potential and to bring their own ideas to the school management. School management drives school development forward. She is accessible to everyone in everyday life.

school visitation

The last school visit was carried out in our school on March 29th, 2017.
There is a corresponding one for thisshort reportbefore.

School's comments on the short report

The topic of "evaluation" has so far been neglected. The merging of the school program with the inclusion program while updating the all-day concept is our task in order to present the school in an up-to-date manner, to document and evaluate development goals. Participation rights are secured by the election of an advisory member in the teachers' conference. Concepts are published on the homepage so that everyone can read them and are freely accessible.

School Board Comment

Substitute lessons are organized according to the substitution concept. Lessons are exceptionally compensated by homeschooling in years 5 and 6 in marginal hours if the human resources are no longer sufficient to cover lessons.

support and promotion

Applied teaching and learning methods

In each class, "moving" learning is carried out according to the development focus of the school. We orientate ourselves on the learning situation of the pupils and try to advance the learning motivation and learning development through individual support. By involving "externals" (prevention projects, media projects) and participating in competitions (sports and arts departments; school newspaper), we promote the active and practical handling of learning content. The lesson design with learning paths, weekly plans and workshops promotes independence, self-reflection and personal responsibility when learning. Interdisciplinary/cross-year lessons specified in the SchiC (determination of binding projects in the school year with allocation of classes and teachers)
